Seabirds Truck on "The Great Food Truck Race" Season 2

Hey guys, I don't know if you've ever seen "The Great Food Truck Race" on the food network, but it's one of my favorite shows. I love food trucks...and nowadays, who doesn't??? I always see a long line of ravenous people waiting to place their order for yummy food truck goodness. I am very excited that the vegan community is keeping up with the food truck game...and I am even more excited that California's very own food truck, Seabirds Truck will be on The Great Food Truck Race, representing vegan fast food. I had the pleasure of trying their food at an event last Sunday (check out my video post: http://veganwhat-stephanie.blogspot.com/2011/08/vegan-at-verdugo-bar-event.html) and their beer battered avocado and jackfruit tacos were super delicious! Vegan at Verdugo Bar Event!

I heard about Frankenstand's fundraiser for their dog Benji on quarry girl's blog a few weeks ago and anxiously awaited the chance to help contribute and finally get to try the vegan deliciousness of Seabirds Truck. August 7th arrived and I had the pleasure of attending the awesome vegan event hosted at Verdugo Bar. The food was delicious! The beer battered avocado tacos were drool worthy and the mac & cheese was scrumptious. I tried a few other items and don't worry I didn't forget dessert...raw strawberry cheesecake cupcake with chocolate at the bottom...yum! If you didn't get a chance to make it to the event, they're having another one on Wednesday at 5pm @ Verdugo Bar so please show your support and eat some great food!

Sweet Potato Fries - Dusted with cinnamon salt & served with seabirds signature sauce.
